Hello everyone, our university department is thinking in buying a new 3D printer and I am seeking your advice.
We need good quality output, medium printed size, and good customer support and spare parts as we are in Egypt. Can you suggest specific manufacturer or model?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Suggest you dont buy a 3d printer if you need customer support. Even the “professional” machines require user knowledge.

Thanks, is there a training or some kind of knowledge base that I can start with to learn more about the 3D printing technology. Currently, I try to read around and see video (I share some here in the page  ).

@3D_Printing there’s people in Egypt with printers see if you can find where they meet. I’m sure they would help you learn about printing in a practical sense before you make your decision on the printer you need.
Or use you links to other Universities in your region and see what they are doing.

Hi, if you are at UNI then I think you might be wasting a golden opportunity to start a project for the engineers to build one for you. The plans to make one are readily available on github. Costs will be minimal and and the experience the team will gain from building and configuring it will be enormous. Good luck, Chris.
