Hello everyone!
I wonder if anyone have information of Chilipeppr and Marlin about using marlin on mega and Ramps board to run like the “grbl” workspace. I dont want to change the ramps board for a cnc v4 nano board every time i run chilipeppr to make my pcb:s on my machine. I use my machine for both 3d printing and milling. I know about http://chilipeppr.com/marlin, but i dont get it to work. Any idea of why? My machine has the Pi connected to it and i run from my computer as an ip-host-server to my pi.
I don’t think anyone ever got the Marlin buffer to work in SPJS. I think there was the start of a project for folks to port the TinyG buffer in SPJS over to a Marlin buffer. In TinyG buffer it looks for an r:{} back from the CNC to know a line got processed. I believe Marlin sends back something like an “OK” and that’s all that really has to get changed.
If you’d be up for making an attempt to get the buffer in SPJS going, you may be ready to use the Marlin workspace after that.
Good
@jlauer I dont think i have the knowledge to do that. But is there a group now how is interesting to do so? Or simple build an “gateway” to use marlin between chillipeppr and SPJS? If people tried before and not succeded then it has to be hard to solve.
@Eduardo_tecnoCNC Interesting of helping to get the solution?
