Having issues when i send a command for the nozzle to go home. For some reason the X stops center and then the Y keeps going back to a point were its collides and sounds like the machine is gonna break apart. I did take a look at the belt and manually move the extruder to the front til it count go any further, notice that the right side had a gap as the left was flush to the end. So i fix that but still getting the same result.

X not going home
Y keeps smashing the back end
Z runs perfect.

DaVinci 1.0a (Flash w/Repitier) now with simplify3d

Do an M119, and check that the values change if you press on the endstops. If they don’t, fix your endstop wiring.

@ThantiK wow you totally lost me…lol. Sorry forgot to mention that Im new to 3d printing especially g-codes./commands

The symptoms you describe point to the control board not sensing when the Y axis has travelled too far - and so it keeps on trucking!

First make sure there is a switch / sensor in the Y axis path that is not broken and properly aligned so that the head makes contact.

Next, make sure the nozzle is heading towards the switch when you home it. (If not, turn off the print, flip the Y axis stepper connector and try again).

If both of those are correct, then the wiring is suspect. Do a visual inspection to ensure it is securely connected to the correct port. Also check for breaks in the wire.

thx for the reply…once i get home ill get to work on it.

Don’t just look at it, press the switch by hand and use the M119 code (sent to the printer by whatever means your control program has to send a manual G-code) and look at the result when the switch is pressed or not. (I had a thing where the metal flap on a microswitch was bent just a little out of shape…)
