Have anybody tried g29 command. It changes z to level it with bed. It uses a. Micro switch as probe. You can check video on YouTube.

Is it implemented in your firmware? It’s not listed in Marlin’s supported codes.

I have seen it in Reprap Goode page. And on YouTube I have seen people using it. Let me check what firmware it was.

Do you happen to have the YouTube link?

Too much trouble if you ask me. I haven’t had to re-level my bed in, easily, months. Maybe it matters more if you’re printing finer layer heights.

Use slic3r and set your first layer height to the maximum for your nozzle, then you van print at any resolution without worrying too much about your bed leveling.

Thanks @Whosa_whatsis i think the similar technique is used by afina with raft. with its software calibration it builds the raft so there is level surface for it. in extreme cases only you have to change height physically with http://bolts.in there calibration you just have to enter height from bed at 9 points.
