Has anyone here printed the headphones from print.plus? And if so has anyone made progress towards a bluetooth mod? Im currently working on that and the BLK-MD-SPK-B module seems promising.

Yes! I think I actually printed some of their prototypes. I’m currently using ones printed entirely in XT-CF20 using the faceted model. I love them, they have quality on par with some of my ~$100 headphones. I noticed that changing the infill density really affects sound quality. They have a standard audio jack so you could just not use the cord and use any Bluetooth adapter instead.
@Adam_Steinmark how does infill density affect sound quality? What is better? Higher infill?
@Hakan_Evirgen It just affects how crisp the sound is and how much gets filtered out to the environment. I only printed the cups in XT-CF20 so far but I think the best one’s I made were at 20% infill with 3 shells. My current ones are with the recommended 35% infill and the sound is a bit flat. The effect may not be as severe with standard filament, I have a feeling the carbon fiber exaggerates the effect infill has.
I would definitely recommend nylon, PETG, or ABS for the band; PLA and XT-CF20 are a bit too stiff for my head.
Still haven’t got around to print it, but ought to do it soon. I did order the colours to match some filament I had, but since the kickstarter took forever to get done I have long since forgotten.
@Adam_Steinmark i printed mine is Atomic Filament PETG pro
35% infill the sound quality makes my skull candy’s seem like garbage lol
@Adam_Steinmark yeah i plan to leave the audio jack intact but i want to have the bluetooth module hidden inside
@Adam_Steinmark thanks for all the good tips ! Was going to print the cups this week end, perfect timing !
Im printing another set out of glow in the dark filament lol
