Has anyone had trouble trying to print stl.

Has anyone had trouble trying to print stl. files from a chromebook? I have been trying to find an interface or go between from tinkercad to printer, but no luck…

If by “trouble” you mean “unable to”, then yes.

You’re not going to be able to use a 3D printer on a Chromebook unless you install a chroot with something like Crouton (or just put a different Linux distro on it entirely).

You can’t even connect a paper printer directly to a stock Chromebook, much less a 3D one…

Well, a Raspberry Pi with Octoprint usually does the trick – but that’s quite a bit of setup.

Yeah then that answers my question. I will just have to bring my laptop from home for printing at the school. I am beginning to realize Chromebook = lame horse…

You could write one really easily with https://developer.chrome.com/apps/serial

Well you’d need a slicer in JS.
