Has anyone gotten useful DXFs out of OpenSCAD and into Adobe Illustrator? I have so many things in this process to hate.
AI thinks my OpenSCAD DXF is just text. I tried putting Inkscape in the middle and saved an SVG and Inkscape scaled it arbitrarily.
Help my workflow! I could have used expensive software and I would have been done. :frowning:

Verify the pixels/inch between Adobe and Inkscape are the same. If I recall correctly, Adobe = 72/in and Inkscape = 90/in.

Argh! I wish I was working with vectors.*

I will try joining in rhino. Thanls!

Another thought, maybe check that the DXF is valid in LibreCAD? Saving it again in LibreCAD may be worth a try, maybe AI would recognize it.

BTW one thing not to forget when importing a DXF into Inkscape is to uncheck “automatically resize to A4”, there’s a scale setting as well.

Excellent tips. I will crack this.
