Has anyone gotten the 123D Catch web app to work?
I’ve tried multiple times, with different objects and different cameras.
All I get is a cloud with an X in it, with the mouseover text “Capture Did Not Succeed”
Sure would be neat to get a hint WHY it didn’t succeed.
Does the downloadable app work any better?
I’ve only ever used the ios app - it sucks but it works… eventually. Need to have a background with lots of visual information, not move the object, instead move the camera around the object several times and at different angles or heights. Even when it does work youve got lots of cleanup in meshmixer and/or meshlab to make it printable.
I got it to work using my iPad mini
It seemed to work just fine, there was a video tutorial to watch to show how to take shots of the image u wanted in 3d,
Are you using the same fixed focus in all your shots?
Yeah , just the standard iPad mini camera, when I used it it worked fine, I never got a complete solid image but pretty close, you really have to be careful where you take the images and at what angles
