Has anyone bought the Cubicon Single Plus? Can you share your experience using it?
Thanks!

I have no experience with it but I just did some research on it. Looks like it only take proprietary filament and only ABS or PLA. Their filters also wont catch nanoparticles (only catches particles larger than 0.3 micrometers) which is somewhat common with FFF/FDM machines. The build area is also very small for a machine of that size. What are you looking to use a 3D printer for?

@Adam_Steinmark You’re saying this printer won’t accept 1.75’m ABS filament that MakerBot Replicator 2X uses?

1.75 ABS filament? Yes. Can you buy it from Makerbot? No. You have to buy it directly from Cubicon or one of their resellers although I can’t seem to find a way to purchase it from them or a list of their resellers. And Makerbot is not the standard you should be comparing 3D printers to, they’re clunky machines that aim to take the intelligence required from the user and instead put it into the machine. But their filament sensors don’t work consistently and cause more issues than they prevent. If you let me know what your use case I can make a few suggestions.

I’m not new to 3D printing, just curious what people think of this Cubicon Single Plus…

Oh okay. What do you think?

@Nathan_Walkner Well I guess it depends how their filament detection feature works.

@Nathan_Walkner You’re right, I should have read more thoroughly.

I didn’t realize that HEPA filters couldn’t catch nano particles. Crap. Which leaves what options?
