Halloween 2026

Starting a Halloween 2026 thread for the cool projects celebrating the coolest holiday of the year.

Base skull:

For your carving fun. Skull image generated with Flux.02 Klein 4B, depth map generated with DepthAnything3, cleaned up in Blender, final height map generated using Blender.

Added the skull to a pumpkin shape. fun times!

For your carving fun.

I really need to learn how to do this.

You do. It is a ton of fun to make. Also rewarding making a cool cnc pattern or 3d print.

This is my workflow on making these:

This is now a bit dated. I am currently using AI tools Flux.02 Klein4B and DepthAnything3 instead of Flux.01 Schnell and Marigold though I still use them on occasion.

Scary clown 001

Evil Pumpkin 001:

For your carving fun:

Here is the original AI generated image if anyone wants to practice making their own patterns. I did add a few features on my version.

Not cnc but 3d print.

Nerd ghost. Super scary.

Blender cloth physics simulation with a few modeled parts. In the printer now.

Never mind. Print failed due to bad model. Made the walls too thin.

So made a new model. I’ll print tomorrow.

Printed at about 7" tall in white PLA. Season favorite so far.

Another evil pumpkin generated in Flux.02 Klein4B.

My version:

Prepped in my CAM sofware. Cnc model size is 4"x4"x.5".

I’ll be carving this in the next few days.

Started working on a witch pattern and AI generated some angry weathered old woman images as the base image. I am a little shocked on how different the images are from the AI models. Same prompt used in each model.

In order: Flux01 Schnell, Flux02 Klein4B, Z-Image turbo, Qwen-Image, PixelDit

Scary witch:

Carved in poplar. One coat of oil based poly just to seal it. Not sure if painting this or not.

Wife yelled at me for making so many scary patterns so I was made to make a cute one. Happy carving. Default size is 4" x 4" x .5".

P.S.
Carved at 5" x 5" x.5 in poplar. Right from the cnc. Still needs to be sanded and sealed.

So far this season. Fun little decorations to go around the candy bowl.

Of course I had to port it to a cnc pattern.
