I’m, like, 98% done with the parts to make things move, and I’m two closed belts away…and don’t want to wait two weeks to get the Z-stage moving (or learn it needs more engineering).
Any clue where I could buy two short GT2 belts in Denver…or where it’d get shipped to me before the weekend?
Which belt are you looking for? I’m looking at the HTD (High Torque Drive) timing belts, they have the GT2 profile. The 350-5 is a 5mm pitch, 15mm wide 350mm long belt #7939K11 They have lots of metric stuff @ThantiK
HTD, GT, GT2 and GT3 are all slightly different profiles, but you can interchange pulleys and belts for the most part. @Mike_Miller just looking for regular 6mm wide, 2mm pitch belt?
The problem is that it’s far from easy to tell where the parts originate from…my alirubber heaters came from China…by way of The Netherlands, and took three weeks. The Robotdigg parts may have taken 7 days or so, but there’s was a four day wait on talking back and forth.
I’ll be calling R/C shops today. (And yeah, @Thomas_Sanladerer , just a couple of short belts to run from the motors to the Z-stage)
Do you want open belt or closed belts? We do GT2 Open and pulleys. FedEx gets stuff there in 3 days or less. If you order and email me I’ll ensure your order goes out tomorrow which should hopefully get to you friday.
Mike, I couldn’t get a closed loop to you. But, could next day you a 10ft GT2 I was using on a CNC project. I have more coming so not too worried about it. Pay for shipping and whatever you feel is cool. What’s a little GT2 between friends?
