Game changer, even beyond myo electric arms. You could lose your entire arm to the shoulder, and still control invidual fingers as shown in the video.
some company will offer him a million dollars for it and then copy it and shelve it. then sell “theirs” for 10 million each. (imho)
I have worn the arm from the shoulder down and controlled it with my muscles on the opposite arm. It worked the first time in minutes. The seeds are there to really make a difference in people’s lives for very little money. Easton is a great kid and I love how he just runs at full speed with such exuberance. Oh to be young and have limitless energy! I have an arm with the power glove. Super cool.
amazing stuff indeed. So great to see something that is taken for granted by the rest of us available at an affordable price for those who need it. We have a guy at work with a carbon fiber leg and I was amazed just how much something as simple as that cost.
Can you please point me to his designs? Is there a website where they are available?
Company is called unlimited tomorrow. Btw, they are on my TV show! You can watch Brian and I check it out and me try it on
The power glove was the killer part.
Also cc @Chris_Chappell
What is the connection/relation between Chris and Easton Chapelle? Are they brothers?
@Johannes_Eickhold not at all they just have the same last name. Chris is located in the UK and designed the arm as far as i can recall
I stumbled upon this in Chris’ blog: “Firstly my working relationship with Easton broke down after became too unreliable, and seemingly unwilling to use the strengths that he could have bought to the project.” http://anthromod.com/2014/09/28/crikey-8-months-since-the-last-update/
@Johannes_Eickhold oh he actually wrote about it.
@Nils_Hitze yes but that sentence was pretty much it. Didn’t want to go into a blow by blow description of what happened.
@Chris_Chappell i know, you did tell me about that last year, just wanted to not state more here, just maybe put things into perspective
