Good teeth, bad teeth. If you’re upping your flow to compensate for under-extrusion, it may be that your extruder ain’t exttroodin.
Will the filament actually eat away at the teeth over time?

When hobbing the bolt, use cutting oil. Make sure nothing is stuck in the teeth of the tap.

I found also that with abs if clamping teh tension roller too hard without filament moving through the extruder can cause the teeth to fold over. Only a heat treated bolt would prevent this.
