GIT PULL issues.
Haven’t used LW3 for a while and upon running I’m advised an update is available and to complete a Git Pull.
upon executing the ‘git pull’ command in my LaserWeb3 dir I receive the following message:
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
I have reset the LW3 settings to what i had before.
LW3 actually works…just no power coming from the laser itself.

install completed as per Github wiki etc so I installed using git. Still have Git files but no .git files (hidden items revealed)
i think it might be b)
ran GitGui and tried to open existing repository (select LW3 folder) and got error msg saying its not a git repository.
reinstall me thinks
okay. removed LW3 dir
reinstalled as per wiki
dl new LW3
git pull ran and didnt give error msg
can see the hidden .git folder
LW3 still saying ver 30478 available but using 30476
git pull cmd gives an “Already uptodate” msg
used GitGui to clone to a new dir
ran npm install cmd and then git pull
LW3 now saying up to date.
Stand by for power test. 
bugger still no power
okay…<<<<noob error.
When resetting the settings…didnt include some optional settings that … well… arent optional with my laser
sorry for wasting your time.
GCode: Settings
Start Gcode set to G28
Laser On set to M3
Laser Off set to M5
End GCode set to G28

Wow! I was wondering why something wasn’t quite right. I thought those laser on/off fields were if you wanted to select M3 vs M4 or M5 vs M3 S0. Eg. Force laser to to use specific laser control command.
That’s not so obvious that this how this configuration should be used. Perhaps some thought to improve or include caveat in documentation.
Indeed… i have simply copied settings from original YT video from JordsWS.
Just retested with laser on/off blank and put m3/m5 in Gcode start/end…
will update post to YT video
