I was just joking about this. Printing a 3D printer. Lol

@Stephen_Hazlett laugh if you must, but that is the goal of the “RepRap” project: making a machine capable of self-replicating.

Now don’t get me wrong. I didn’t mean any disrespect by my comment. I completely respect the science behind the 3D printing process. I just simply underestimated the? advancement of technology. Maybe joke was to strong of a word.

The irony is that to date about the only item regularly produced by hobby 3 d printers that has any value is actually 3d printers!

@Tony_Hine_Nifty_Acce , hey, I’ve printed plenty of useful octopus models

@Eric_Moy … Did you make a few squid?

Nice

I believe that the whole way we 3d print will be changed drastically in the next 5 years. Filament, stepper motors, 1-4 nozzle extruders all have a good chance of being removed from 3d printing.

lookin good. are files available for download? detailed building instructions?

I just had another look at the video to see if there were any links that @Vjekoslav_Radisic could use and I noticed it’s got four thumbs down…? I just can’t understand why anyone would give it a thumbs down it doesn’t make sense to me…

+TØny Hine Possibly because he isn’t sharing any details of the build? I wouldn’t do a thumbs-down for that, but some people would.
