Hi everyone, I’m new to cnc, I’m having a problem getting my machine to move. I thought at first that I put it together wrong but today I did get to move twice randomly (just trying to get it to home). I notice the X axsis gets really stiff when the machine is on but glides smoothly when it’s off.
I haven’t even made it to my first test project.
Any suggestions?
i have it moving but now my y2 motor is stuck. Everything else moves fine
After tinkering for days I’m embarrassed to say they were hooked up incorrectly. How it was working at all is a mystery to me lmao! This is really going to be a mess.
I just got mine also. I hope I have a short learning curve

how’s it going? I watched a few videos by James Dean Designs on Utube that helped. I also have a little experience with a cricuit, laser and a 3dprinter that I hope will help at

I’m ok with gSender. And I’m ‘ok’ with design in Fusion. But I get flipped over with the Manufacture part… That and I’ve been installing and painting interior and exterior doors here at home which means I’ve turned mu garage into a paint booth.
It assembled easy, I need to tram it. But It’s made of 40x80 extrusion and MDF, so there’s not much to attach my mag-base to for my indicator. I was able to pick up a trim router for $50 at harbor freight tools. Not a steal cause it’s from china, but ‘it’ll do til it don’t’
It seems like fusion is a good place to start with learning CAM software, It’s just getting through the tutorials is hard, unless you are ready for a nap they are very un-exctiting.
