As to the makerforum.info, no it wasn’t on the poll - but the reprap forums were. As was the “other” option.
I have just enabled Google login for http://forum.makerforums.info so that anyone with a G+ account should find it trivial to log into http://forum.makerforums.info — just choose the “with Google” link on login and it should just work. That might make it a more interesting option for folks here.
So… It turns out that if people do that, then an import of the thing-printer community into http://forum.makerforums.info would show up as owned by them, preserving continuity of ownership. Might that be a reason to re-open discussion?

Indeed. And the fact that you’ve done the import once means we’ve a race of how the data is stored inside discourse, should we ever want to move elsewhere again later. I’ll put a new poll up
