From the latest batch of pictures, I’d say they’re over-selling the “5-color” capabilities. Printing colour-gradients is not what I would consider to be a full-colour print.
Shapeways sandstone types of prints are what I expect to see: http://www.shapeways.com/materials/sandstone
The one saving grace however, is that they’ve actually attributed the source(s) for the designs they’re showing: http://botobjects.com/latest-updates

I have to say that the sample prints look like renders.
Also, 175mm/s max printing speed ? Really ?
The Robot picture is complex enough with the hardware and wires in place that it’s possibly more real than render, but they aren’t hi-res enough to convince me.
The whole thing is super sleazy, accepting pre-orders based on 2d mockups of a printer. I already extremely dislike these guys.
Indeed! No movies, clear pictures, or any more info than “new 3d Color printer”
I don’t trust it…
I don’t trust it either. The recorder definitely looks like a render. Why start pre-orders before conclusive/plain pictures and videos?
It has made it further than I thought, but still print vids or it hasn’t happened.
“Why start pre-orders before conclusive/plain pictures and videos?”
One possible answer, because it’s a scam.
