For anyone considering it.

For anyone considering it. White is a horrible color for printed parts on a printer. It’s not even finished yet and looks dirty. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Too hot?

Been there done that unfortunately. That’s exactly why all my printers are black:-)

It just shows any dirt and it seems to draw into it. Graphite bushes so if you touch one of the rods and then a part it leaves a mark. And it goes like that for everything. I’ve always printed my machines in black or navy blue. But the printer had white in when I wanted to print a part so just let it run then did want to change for other parts. I might actually take this one apart and paint the printed parts.

I’ve not had this problem, even on my home built printers, what materials you printing & whats your “current” print settings for the job?

Use petg. Wipe of dirt and be happy

I like white prints, have not had any issues with dirt not wiping off. using carbon fiber rods, not graphite. Tap plastics pure carbon rods, very clean no messy residue.

@VolksTrieb I agree. My white PETG seems to stay cleaner due to the glossier finish compared to the extremely matte finish of my ABS. If you use TECH-G from Taulman3D it would have the same rigidity as ABS if you’re worried about that.
