First print after fixing a jammed cartridge... Damn.

First print after fixing a jammed cartridge… Damn. I’m glad I bought this thing before they were gone

I was going to get one, even had it in my checkout basket when I read about the encoded chip in the cartridge and that put the cabash on it for me.

I’m still debating, there a few sites out there that claim to have “fixed” the propriatary filement issue…

nice render, hehe

i steel see it in the 150$200$ on ebay
can you rep out the controler and put ramp 1.4 in it ? wont it work ?

I believe the motors were 24v, so you couldnt just plop a ramps board with standard drivers, in there, you need 24v drivers.

I know the extruder motors are 24v but someone has said that 12v drove the axis motors when they threw in a ramps

Not sure if the motors have standard stepper plugs either

Motors usually aren’t a problem, it’s stuff like homing and calibration and sensors that typically cause issues with this sort of conversion.

Weird thing is that this printer doesn’t use end stops. It moves each axis the length plus a little to make sure it’s all the way over. Once it’s at its max the stepper just skips steps

Is it stall detection, or is it just using the hard stop as a known location?

Just a hard stop

Yes! I bought it too last week. Unpacking and start Printing, so easy. Just WiFi Not working with my router. I bought 10 new cardriges with Not so common colors, so they were not so expensive.
