#ChiliPepperTinyGConfiguration
First post here and my “newbyness” will be apparent.
My configuration:
… Machine: Big OX (750x1000)
… Controller: tinyG
… CNC driver: ChiliPepper
…
I have completed the build and I am in the initial power up and test stages.
I am powered up and connected to CP and can communicate with tinyG through its serial port with no apparent problems.
I am learning CP and its control of the tinyG and have a general configuration question.
After a lot of searching I am still uncertain of the options for loading a configuration file to bulk change the tinyG confirmation settings. I am hoping that I can upload a txt file with all the settings?
I know from monitoring other G+ communities (laser engraving) its annoying when the same question gets asked over and over. I suspect this is one of those but searching marginally answered my question.
Sorry if I missed a source that answers these questions if so please just point to it.
… Questions …
-
Q: I see that you can change motor and axis settings in this dialog. How do you bulk change all the other settings that are not in this dialog like PWM settings etc.? Are the “restore/archive” choices under “save” for that purpose.

Q: Regarding the Gear/Configure TinyG v0.7/Save/ Archive and Restore from Archive for TinyG v0.51, menu item
…2.1 What is V0.51, the tinyG firmware level? Do I have to be running v0.51 for this to work?
…2.2 Is this a way to bulk upload an entire configuration file? In other words if I want to upload an initial configuration I just restore from the file that has the configs I want?
…2.3 What format does an upload configuration file need to be in.
…2.4 Does this only mess with the configuration and not change any other firmware in the tinyG?
3.0 Q: Regarding backup. How is backup supposed to work. The dialog suggests getting your backup from “http://www.chilipeppr.com/datagetall” this link is a blank page with a “Null”. Seems I have not set something up right, should have run a backup or completely brain dead on how this works?
…3.1 If you are “logged-in” is CP supposed to run a backup to this location for my account automatically?
Attached is a photo of my machine and controller setup. Thanks in advance for your help.
