Great ! But why the X axis is this long ? Maybe you want install a larger printed bed in the future ?
Hi Adrien, I am building a RepStrap, using parts I have on hand. I found parts for linear slides that I was able to use for this project. I knew this would be a temporary “trainer” anyway so I decided not to cut the rails down in case I wanted to use them differently in the future. I may try to build a more compact machine or perhaps a machine with a larger stage. No idea. Right now, it’s just a low budget trainer to experiment with.
OK, that’s a great project, It looks like more like a CNC than a 3D printer, I think the precision will be very good.
