First bit of testing the PRUSA Nozzle - more scientific tests to follow, this was just too much fun not to share right away -

Testing other nozzles too at the moment.

What is different about the Prusa nozzle that allows for it to do this? i.e., can other hot ends not do this?

Because it is solid metal, it can get hotter without melting the insulator, also it has a high temp cartridge. Side note, when and where can one buy it.

what is the purpose of the 2 LEDs? edit i see what u did there … NICE!

That’s pretty nuts, I agree ware can one obtain this hot end. And what extruder body and x carriage are you using? Link to stl’s ?

That looks pretty nice. It looks like it’s printing much neater as well, is that due to the nozzle having less issues with clogging?

We’re thinking about 3D printers for later this year or beginning of next, money permitting but the speed of that print in the video looks like it wouldn’t be too bad and it would print pretty decent quality as well.
