Finished building the heated build platform for my 3D printer!
Built by a talented monkey so beware of the crap quality
400mm x 400mm size
3/16 tempered glass build surface
325W silicone heater
1mm thick aluminum heat spreader
3-point leveling system
3/4 inch MDF bed insulator

Just a heads up: The MDF will likely warp if you’re using it as a structural component.

@Thomas_Sanladerer , Thanks for the tip (that’s why I love this community);
The MDF is intended to be used as a bed insulator, and I will have another piece of 1/4" MDF (at ambient temperature) that will support the bed (for the bed leveling and mounting). The thumb screws will screw into the three tee nuts.
I’m not sure if this makes the 3/4" MDF (in the picture) qualified as a “structural component” and whether I should be concerned.
Would it also be possible to treat it to reduce the humidity effects?
Thanks,

@Ishaan_Gov I am struggling to get the Borosilicate glass at 220 x 220. Would you mind sharing where you got yours from?

I am just using tempered glass-- I think borosilicate is a bit overkill (you’ve probably heard this many times); just make sure that you have even heat distribution. In regards to sourcing Boro glass, you can get 9x9 (228 x 228) glass from McMaster for a little under $30
