I used the basic box one in this app and it worked pretty well. The joints were tighter than I would have wanted but maybe I need to check my steps per mm again. The little fillet in the corners is a pain but I didn’t want to use dog bones. The one you posted has a gap setting which I shall try sometime.

This could use something like radiused edges on the fingers for people using routers instead of laser cutters. Oh well.
Radiusing works as I show in the link above, but it’s hard to preview, and requires a special tool.
Hi Will, thanks very much for the link. I’ve tried a lot of box generators, and this is by far the best one I’ve ever come across. The different shapes are well thought out and really helpful. You can also define the spacing between the parts, which is especially handy for a CNC router. I didn’t have to edit the drawings again.
Last week, I used the toolbox shape to make Easter baskets for my nephews. That saved me a ton of time. Before that, I’d also tried out the shape for stackable boxes. Perfect!
