Initially wanted to drive the bed from all four corners, using Kevlar cord, but the end result was just too complicated. Spent months on this - though in part to get better at CAD. Punted and switched to three screws joined by a single belt (the longest readily available size is just barely adequate). Bed is fixed in XY by sections of PTFE tubing sliding against the corners of the extrusion.

The bed is quite solid in both XY and Z.

Next is to sort the electronics, and compile g2core for the hardware.

How you plan to make leveling of bed? Initialy I thought that you will adjust it electronicaly via the 3 rods.

What size motor you using out of interest?

@Paul_Hollis All are most-common, readily-bought NEMA-17.

@Pop_Gheorghe The printer is meant to be manually trammed (leveled), exactly once. The two large diameter adjustment knobs should allow small manual adjustment, and each has a set-screw to lock position. To be clear, this is an experiment.

How are the tolerances?
