But… why?
A hand, or small powered pill press can do the same thing much more efficiently for small batches like this.

@Carlton_Dodd There was a piece on Marketplace today http://www.marketplace.org/topics/tech/drug-made-3-d-printer-wins-first-fda-approval where the company was saying the way they were able to make this pill with the properites of this drug better by using additive manufacturing. Additionally the process allowed the pills to be made it smaller and the process was more cost effective than other processes. Small batches for these types of drugs are 10s of thousands. A normal drug sells in the 10s of millions.
