Enterprise-Class 3D printers at the price of an Ultimaker  in 3 years?

Enterprise-Class 3D printers at the price of an @Ultimaker in 3 years? Sounds like a bold prediction, even for Gartner.

As fast as Reprap is moving, I wouldn’t doubt it. Even just a year ago, things were pretty bleh.

…and the cost of a MakerBot will increase to that of a enterprise-class 3D printer in the same amount of time. Probably without adding any new functionality, too.

But they have a three-point leveling system! /sarcasm

It all depends on how you’d define enterprise level. I’d think that many RepRapg
-level printers out there would already meet my criteria after a couple modifications, so 2k is definitely feasible.
