After having the bright idea of upgrading my ender from bowden to direct drive there are problems I cannot solve. One, the new carriage is wider (thanks buttholes at creality) than the stock one by about 1cm, oh the grinding noises.
Bl touch hovers over air. Offsets not right, homing not right. EEProm Editor can’t dial it in. There was no change to the firmware, left it alone.
Normally my son helps me, but as with everything, time marches on and he’s in university. VS Code is ok, but I’m lost in the ways of the code.
Is there anyone else out there willing t share the wisdom of what I"'m doing wrong? I’m thinking the 4.2.7 board was a lot easier for this stuff.
Should I just buy a new one? this one is old now. Ender3’s really don’t like direct drives do they?
