Dumb Question Time! I have a Kossel Mini that I’m trying to get perfect prints out of. I’ve got ideas for getting around moisture issues, got my z-probe almost sorted out (z_probe_offset was 0.6 out, washer thickness). When it comes to calibration the Z height is always different depending on how hot the head and bed are. Mounted from the top the heat expansion is making quite a difference. Are there no ways to mount the hot end from the bottom so that whatever temperature the height is constant?
I also have a Kossel Mini. I do all calibration cold. When cold, the nozzle flies 0.25 mm above the bare glass (for z = 0) and I measure it at the base of each tower and in the centre using a feeler gauge. It’s easy enough to then adjust the end stop positions for each axis. One critical thing is to ensure that the DELTA_RADIUS value is right so that the nozzle height doesn’t vary in centre compared to at the edges. Heat it up, completely, then tune . Then next time, heat it up completely before running it. Heat, takes like 30 minutes to totally permeate the glass, and hot end . That was the key for me with mine. Atleast 30 mins warm up. If you dont wait it will not set right and every time it will be different .
Thanks guys.
Hello! I am looking for some calibration help, does the web page of minow the best? Everyone mentions it. Thank you
