Does anyone who installed the plastic injection molded extruder on a Printrbot Simple Metal know if they had to drill the 3D printed plastic motor mount that’s on Youmagine? My mounting holes on the y bar don’t line up.
@Printrbot
What is the link?
Is it meant for that printer?
Even if it is meant for the printer, there is a chance that they messed up, a printer might be miscalibrated or that different printer with whatever their settings are may have slightly different results due to the dreaded hole problems. Some putting out more or less filament or having better or worse bridging abilities changes hole results.
Sorry for the non-answer, but I figured extra info was needed and inspecting all variables is always good.

The holes are in the wrong location, not just miss sized, you can see that in the picture. I’m wondering if there are different y bar arm designs.
Is someone’s axis swapped? Rotate it 180 and then imagine it mirrored and the single hole would line up. I have seen mirrored stuff posted before.
Are you trying to mount it on the correct side? I had to download the thing to see all the holes.
Looks like i’m mounting it in the incorrect orientation. I should rotate it 90degrees counter clockwise. It seems they wanted the motor to stick off the left side instead of the back now. This is not ideal for my blower fan…
