Does anyone know of good 3d printer concepts based on makerslides that are not somehow rebuilds of the ORDBot or a Delta printer (I’m not so much interested in a delta bot)? Looking for a way to use up the makerslides that i still have and fulfill my need for a direct drive printer.
I know there’s done core xy designs based on using it. Look on openbuilds for designs using v slot / makerslide.
Look up quadrap.
Most people are using V-slot these days, but a lot of those designs could probably be ported to makerslide. Openbuilds.com has a bunch of these designs you can look through.
+1 for the @OpenBuilds1 rail/wheel systems. They’re cheaper and have waaaay more options, documentation, and community involvement.
Well the problem is that i do already have some meters of makerslide, a good amount of wheels and other accessories. If not i’d not even think about that.
