Does anyone have any experience printing taulman bridge 1.75mm with an e3d v6?

Does anyone have any experience printing taulman bridge 1.75mm with an e3d v6? Mine keeps jamming after a couple of hours. The diameter varied from 1.81mm-1.88mm over the length of filament that I measured, so I set the filament diameter in cura to about 1.84. Using a 0.25mm nozzle. It jams every time. Print speed of 60mm - is that too high? Many thanks in advance.

@Daniel_Ridley that speed is perfect if your at the right temp. That diameter is not. Make sure the previous filament is cleared prior to running the new.

@Tom_Martz

I’ve been printing at 240degC and I manually pushed through about 5cm or so of filament before starting each print.

I’m thinking the oversized diameter is causing the filament to get stuck in the ptfe tubing or through the heat brake.

Yeah @Daniel_Ridley I am an upmost believer in Taulman products. I have never seen a 1.75mm filament be anything but 1.75mm from Taulman, IMO his product is the standard for quality filament.

I’ve heard online that the first batch was out of spec and several people have received filament where the diameter is over 1.8mm. In view of their excellent reputation, I was also expecting it to have excellent tolerances and to be dead on 1.75mm and I was very disappointed to see it was out of tolerance by so much. I’ve emailed e3d who sold me the filament and I’m waiting for them to get back to me. It’s a shame because I’ve wasted so much of it trying to get it to print without jamming and it’s not cheap stuff!

@Daniel_Ridley Pls contact us as we like to hunt these down and replace them.

Tom beat me to it. I was going to suggest contacting Tom at Taulman, their customer service is phenomenal, and the product quality is the best in the industry.
