does anybody at all know where i can get the STL’s for this???

thx!

I’d begin here: http://instagram.com/crimsoncoscrafts/

And start asking them.

Try http://www.therpf.com/dc-costumes-and-props/

Maybe this has been asked before…
If Bruce Wayne was so concerned about his identity, why risk showing any of his face on his Bat Suit?

Why put Windows on a spacecraft?
Because it looks cool!

Side note: reading that article, the final product isn’t 3D printed… it sounds like he was able to export the Arkham Origins model from the game, 3D print the pieces which were then cast and then the mold which you see him wearing are the final product.

The company which he did the work for is selling suits, so it was a print/prototype once and then mass produce.

What @Daniel_Porter said. Its a ‘for sale’ product so I’m guessing if you get the exact STL files somehow you will find yourself on the other end of an anti-piracy lawsuit. That said, a lot of video games use Maya’s standard model format for their assets and you can pull that out of the game and then pop it into solidworks or any other full featured CAD system and convert it to something printable.

@Chuck_McManis pull out the model from tha game and then take a lot of time refining and adding in the extra detail, as I’d imagine there would be a lot of flat surfaces with ‘bump maps’ applied for details. These would have to be modeled on to the actual file.

I’m currently working with a couple of helmet models. One I’m making from scratch and the other I’ve edited quite heavily to get how I like it. These are my first serious pieces and it sucks that I’m a perfectionist :S
