Do you want to print up to 5 times faster or would you rather

Do you want to print up to 5 times faster or would you rather be able to print miniatures and small texts? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using different diameter nozzles?
For the past 2 weeks, I’ve been printing non-stop with various nozzles and did my best to sum the info into this article. Hopefully you’ll find some new info in it

Its a strange example in the image. Its good for showing the positive side of larger nozzle but i think they should have the same part/scale with 0.25, 0.4 and 0.6mm layer hight and displayed the shorter time/lower resolution. Then the difference would have been more obvious.

As a volcano user even the large one seems ridiculously slow. It’s beyond me why nobody is interested in rapid prototyping.

That surface finish though… :astonished:

You did a nice job on the article, well written and easy to understand.

@Anton_Fosselius there are a couple of examples like that in the article.

I’d love to see the slicer settings for the given examples.

I think people really underestimate the option of small layer heights with large nozzles. You only lose a little corner detail but keep good finish, and can print several times faster.
