Do you need a voltage divider for a 12v bed probe,

Do you need a voltage divider for a 12v bed probe, on a old style 5v Printrboard? (Rev d) I know you need to power the probe off of 12v and all that, but I keep reading you need a voltage divider to reduce the signal voltage.

It depends on your type of sensor, you got PNP or NPN, or capacitive or inductive. PNP sensor only need a Diode in the signal cable, the white line agains the board, for avoid problems in the board, if sensons make something wrong.

That’s the 2 method, but you need one of them depending on your sensor type.

In the Board you only need to plug the sensor signal cable, to the signal zmin pin in the board, GND and +V goes directly to the PSU.
