Do you ever wonder what people are talking about in this community or want to know more about a specific term in the 3D Printing World? Have a look at this 3Dpedia Index. If we are missing something that you came for let us know so we can add it to our extensive index.

Some more basics that are not included, but very new users will not know.

Vapor smoothing
Maybe:
Blue tape
Kapton Tape
Firmware/Marlin
Source
Open-source (i find some of the uninitiated seem to think open source is silly, but when you explain that the idea is that the project gets better because the community makes it so they start to get it)
I know there are some that i am missing i will comment again if i think of any, feel free to ignore any of these things. I am working with a few primary school teachers and love you index, i just am thinking of things i had to explain to them
Awesome this is a great comment. We’ll get on those asap. We are striving to be the best resource in the world for 3D printing.
Also on a side note to your open source portion we are using drupal for our entire online presence including the ecommerce portion which is drupal commerce. We love open source!
@Joshua_Needham i solute the idea. That is alot of work, I have not looked through your page, but i do like the index thus far.
Also you 1D example in your 4d printing definition is completely wrong. the squiggle is 2d. it should just be a line. Sorry to nit pick.
Edit: to illustrate change i could be doted, but it should be straight.
3Dprinters.org has something like fifty to a hundred different printers listed. It would be nice if you had something on each one so peolpe can see who and what is behind each one.
@Kenneth_Cummings I think it would be valuable to keep the glossary smaller, if it was 90% printer names it would turn off a lot of people.
Also if you have def-dist. you should have robo hand. IMHO you should have neither as both are products, not standard terms used in 3d printing.
