Did some more tests with LaserWeb4 this evening.
Different materials with different settings. If LaserWeb4 (or whatever the name for this fabolous software will be) is available what do you all think about a new category in this group called “Settings,…”?
For sure I am new to laser engraving/cutting but I think it would be fine for everybody to find some references how to start cutting/engraving in Laserweb4. There should be a defined template where everybody can post his/her settings.
E.g.:
Product: K40/DIY/…
LaserType: Diode/CO2/Fibre
Power: 2W/40W
Hardware: Arduino with GRBL Shield v3/smoothieboard/
And then a table with materials (Balsa 2mm, 3mm/ Paper 80g/120g/Plywood 2mm/4mm,…) and settings (Feedrate/LaserPower%/Passes/…)
Maybe we should make a database with rating. Not all posted settings are a really good idea.
What do you all think about my idea?
