Hi All, I have a CR-10S PRO V2 that I bought second hand. It has an intermittent problem that need your help with. Generally it prints fine with far better quality than my anycubic I3 mega, but, yesterday I printed a file successfully twice one after the other. I then set it running for a third print of the same file straight after clearing the previous print. I checked after 30 minutes to find a birds nest on the build plate, the head was printing about 150mm above the build plate.
I checked and releveled manually and then auto. I started a print, as the auto level process did it thing, it got to point 7 and the touch sensor did not deploy znd the Z axis went up not down. I switched off and went through the whole leveling process again this time when set to print the auto leveling process went fine but the print failed, I think thr Z was too high and the first layer failed to stick in places. My machine is running firmware Ver 1.70.0 BL.
Your help would be much appreciated thanks
It sounds to me like your touch sensor may be failing. That can either be physical contamination of the path through which the touch sensor moves, or failing electronics.
If it were mine, I’d be inclined to try cleaning it, but also I do keep a spare touch sensor on hand to be prepared, because they do fail sometimes.
