Matt, I haven’t touched the non-contact auto-leveling. I almost was thru making an IO monitor for pronterface s.t. I could have a poor GUI oscilloscope and perhaps do some signal processing to improve the reliability, but I have not been active on it. http://reprap.org/wiki/Pronterface_I/O_Monitor
