CoreXY-like geometry for IDEX?
I am sketching a bit on a new printer, and i wonder if there are any belt-driven setups that can move two or more heads independent of each other on a axis, with all motors stationary?

That would require a minimum of 7 drivers. Never seen a board with that many. I’m not saying its impossible, because I think smoothie board might be able to handle 7.
@Alex_Hayden DUET + Duet expansion board can handle more than 7 drivers.
You mean basically like the BCN3D Sigma but moving both heads at the same time?
@Alex_Hayden Smoothie maxes out at 6.
I’m sure you could just stack two CoreXY setups on top of each other, but since the motor rotation vs linear translation are 45° off-axis on CoreXY, I don’t think a “clean” solution of just adding another motor is possible. Even if you can work around the limitation of a single belt.
Adding a second, traditional X-axis onto the CoreXY one would be an option, too.
