Cool, and shows a BUNCH of subtle things about Delta printers and printers in general:
- Bigger prints = more plastic used
- Dija notice the green band midway up the print? More plastic = more opportunities for material variance = yet another 36 hour print if it pisses you off.
- Bigger prints = longer time…how many 36 hour blocks of time do you have?
- Deltas are monstrously scaleable. Compare it to the pink one here, which is about a foot tall: http://richrap.blogspot.com/2014/07/3d-printers-big-printers-small-printers.html A cartesian bot would have taken a MASSIVE amount of structure to maintain enough rigidity to be useful.
I wonder what the resolution is like when printing smaller items? It’s be funny seeing this huge monster printing dice.
