Config Issue? Looking for help or feedback.
I have an openbuild Ox machine and am using MeshCAM and Rhino5 for mac for my Cad and CAM programs and then TinyG v8 Controller with Chili Pepper in the Safari browser. I am able to successfully complete a cut unless… I click the set mch zero button or use the touch plate.
In both instances, the machine will move about a foot and lower the z about 2-3 inches and then freeze up. I then have to reset everything to reconnect.
You’re probably hitting soft limits on your TinyG due to your soft limits settings.
Should I turn the soft limits off? Any recommendations. Appreciate the help for I’m new to this and still learning.
Also make sure when it compiles it to gcode that it’s using gcode commands that the tiny g will understand. I’m not sure if it understands peck drilling or any of that. I haven’t tried rhino so I wouldn’t how to check the post processor.
Yeah try turning off the limit switches though. Mine did that till if finally worked out the Bugs in them
It was the soft limits all is good now that they are set to off.
