ComputerVision of printable area → & 3d(bio)printing
Has anyone tried or found references on using the openCV-lib and a HD-webcam (Raspberry Pi cam) for extracting marks on the printbed or finding edges on a paper substrate and feeding these positions on the fly as allowed print area into a slicer?
Background:
Working on a university project relating bioprinting, we want to print with the Inkshield + HP InkJet cartridges (ref. Biocurious Bioprinter 1) and Microsyringes on cellulose substrates. Using a RaspberryPi and a PrintrBoard for controlling the printer, ComputerVision on the RP should be possible referencing tutorials like 2.
Based on the RPcam and the dimensions of my vacuum table (holds the print substrate in position) possible resolution will be around 100 micrometer. Enough for first tests.
