Changing nozzle size, am I doing it correctly

I have 0.4 mm nozzle installed on my creality CR6 SE printer, I’m going to replace it with 0.6mm nozzle. Please note that I’m using Mainsail with Kipller

After replacing it with 0.6mm nozzle, I have to set (calibrate) z axis offset, re calibrate bed mesh

Before printing I have to select 0.6mm nozzle in Cura sliecer

Is there anythiing else I need to update/configure? I noticed 0.4mm nozzle is also mentioned in print.cfg

While print job going on, does Mainsail displays what nozzle size is currently selected for current printing?

I wouldn’t expect to have to recalibrate bed mesh; the bed doesn’t change shape when you change the nozzle. New Z axis offset should be enough.

I’m not aware of the nozzle size being encoded in the gcode.

If you use max volumetric extrusion rate, you’ll want to re-calibrate that. (I don’t use Cura much so I don’t even remember whether it supports volumetric extrusion limits…)

You may also calibrate temperature towers; if you are doing this to print thicker layers faster, your cooling fans will not be able to carry away the greater heat volume as quickly, so you might have to adjust cooling. I wouldn’t start there; that’s more something that I’d keep in the back of your mind if something doesn’t work right.

I’ve done exactly that - change the nozzle and set the new size in Cura.

All worked ok for me.
