Changing from a lead screw to a belt drive

Can anyone direct me to a location showing the grbl settings when going

from an 8mm per rev lead screw to a 60mm per rev belt drive.

Any info appreciated.

I posted this under community also. Badly need assistance reprogramming

grbl as installed on Candle to match the new parameters. Nothing makes sense.

Machine is a 500 x 750 OX.

Thanks.

No need to cross-post between categories, please.

Please post your existing grbl $$ output.

Should have been more specific. The steps per rev. went from 200 to 13.3 which makes sense

going from 8mm per rev (lead screw) to 60 (GT3 belt and 20 tooth wheel).

But I had to go from 500mm/min to 5000 on the max rate to get the same speed when jogged

I had before with the lead screw.

I’m trying to understand how that can be. One lower and one higher. I’m sure it’s something

I just don’t see.

Any info appreciated.

This. Type $$ in your console to dump the config settings and post the output here.

How do I do that??

Post I mean.

The great thing about forums, somtimes just writing things out makes the answer obvious.

Wen’t back and looked at the grbl settings on the old machine and somehow had never

noticed that the acceleration setting was 200 not 20. So yes, the initial toolpath will be

much faster. And I kept wondering, with the old machine, why those “cheap” couplings

kept breaking. Duh.

Thanks for your responses.
