Can someone hook me up with a few cups worth of PET pellets? I’m going to try spincasting it. I tried out several plastics wrt melt tests, and PET seemed to be the best candidate for my use. I’d also like to try out PLA. I haven’t been able to find any samples for some cursory testing though.
How about chopping up water bottles?
Would take a lot of time, and truly break them down, I’d probably have to chop them with dry ice. Plus it would take a lot of water bottles to yield even a cup of pellets.
How many cups do you need…? I have a few thousand.
6 cups would be awesome. Would be enough to try out multiple tests.
It may be a while. I have to finish the vulcanizer, but I will let everyone know if I get something working for spincasting plastic.
