Can I get a gut check here?

@Christopher_Kirkman1 the random flashing has been discussed recently in this thread.

…and sometimes the chip is bad and has to be excised. thus the pain of using matrix panels, when one led goes, so goes the panel.

Resurrecting this a bit. I had some time this past weekend to start going through things with a finer toothed comb, cut out a bunch of dead LEDs, re-shirk-wrapped and thought I had things going okay until I ran the demo and the flashing came back again. That said, I’ve got a strong suspicion its another bad pixel somewhere. I discovered that if I pinched or bent the strip just a little, it had an effect on what was lighting up down the strip. I grabbed some video to demonstrate.

So I’m not crazy in thinking its just bad connections somewhere in the line, right? Is there something specific I should be looking for, or am I at the mercy of a one by one trial and error to cut out the bad bit?
