Can anyone point me to a graph showing the relationship between head temperature, extrusion rate, build quality for various materials at different diameters?
I don’t think there is such a thing. I’m not sure there can be such a thing, because the temperatures and extrusion rates to achieve different “build quality” are very dependent on the machine doing the printing, in addition to several other settings. In other words, you need recommendations from someone using the same filaments on an identical machine.
Well, because I am building my own, no such “identical machine” exists. I guess I will have to do my own tests and graph the results myself.
That’s what the rest of us have to do. When you’re ready for them, recommendations are available for good starting points.
@Mark_Zimmerman Ditto. Different filaments and different brands of filament. Plus colour variations.
@Damian_Poirier the second issue is the subjective print quality, then the third is that no colors work at the same temp, and no two batches of the same color work at exactly the same temp(assuming some recycling)
But that being said, you should wonder over to the ufid community, we are trying to get filament makers to do this.
