bolt adhesive did the trick
Fixed my extruder problem, the lighter coil did not stick hard enough on the brass tube that sits between the shaft an the coil. Fixed it with bolt adhesive. Also fixed the M3 screw that pushes the coil towards the stepper with that sticky stuff.
Hope it holds, I used the strong stuff. I’f it shouldn’t last, I might try to replace the coil (id 5.7) with one from a small BIC lighter.
ok, so idler with bigger diameter would be better? I’ll keep an eye on it, so far it seems to work ok but I haven’t printed much. Did you try to use an idler with O-rings? I’m not sure about that, the spring tension is quite high and if you don’t print for some days or weeks, the O rings might get deformed and this might result in slip.
